Best Western Abbots Barton Hotel is an independent hotel owned and operated by the Castlewood Hotel group. The hotel comprises of 53 high end 3 star rooms set in a beautifully furbished Gothic building.

We're happy to welcome dogs in many of our rooms for a small charge per night per animal.

Please note that dogs are not permitted in our suites. The hotel must be notified of pets in advance which are subject to a £20 charge per night per animal to cover for additional cleaning. This charge is payable upon arrival.

All dogs will receive a comfortable bed, bowl and a warm welcome from us.

Things to do

Canterbury city centre is only a 15 minute walk from the hotel, where you will find Fenwick a dog-friendly department store, plenty of dog-friendly pubs for a spot of lunch and dogs are also welcome in the grounds of Canterbury Cathedral.
